With the assistance of my roomate and family, I stuffed 101 support letters and sent them out over Thanksgiving. So far I have heard some response as people are getting the letters, and some very generous promises of support, so I am excited!

Upcoming on Dec. 19-20 is my latest crazy attempt to make money. I am going into Duke for two days to do a variety of breathing tests and get another bronchoscopy. Not the most pleasant thing, but they are paying $1000 and that is hard to pass up since it will pay for about half of a three week camping safari!

New Blog!

Hi everyone! This is my new blog accounting my efforts to spend summer 2008- summer 2009 in Tanzania. I will be teaching at Amani Childrens' Home (www.amanikids.org).

I will be updating on my fundraising efforts and other news involving my plans to get to Tanzania. When I get there, I will make updates to this sight so people can follow what I am doing over there.

Right now I am working on my support letter which I hopefully will get sent out by the end of November, if not sooner. I'm also babysitting, tutoring, and selling my body to medical science to save up money for this trip. So far I have over $1000 in the Laura Mac goes to Tanzania fund!
